Pashinyan, Artsakh President Discuss Post-War Socio-Economic Issues
Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan met in Yerevan today and discussed what steps are underway to improve the socio-economic situation in Artsakh one year after the 2020 war.
The two, according to a statement released by Pashinyan’s office, said more must be done to restore a semblance of normal life in Artsakh.
“We consider it necessary to resume the full negotiation process within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs,” Pashinyan said, noting that the status of Nagorno-Karabakh remains unresolved.
Harutyunyan thanked Pashinyan for the monetary assistance Armenia has provided Artsakh and mentioned ongoing construction projects to provide housing for those displaced by the war.
Harutyunyan said his government remains committed to a political solution of the Karabakh issue based on the right of self-determination.
