Armenia-EU Sign Common Aviation Agreement
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi, and Slovenian Foreign Minister Stanislav Stanislav Raščan, who chairs the EU Council, signed a Common Aviation Area Agreement today in Brussels.
Mirzoyan, according to a statement released by his office, said the agreement will create new opportunities for the development of the aviation sector in Armenia, facilitating the connection of the citizens of Armenia with other European countries.
"I am convinced that the Agreement will be instrumental in promoting trade, tourism, investments, and economic and social development in general, as well as boost people-to-people contacts, and provide increased opportunities for bigger mobility," Mirzoyan said.
