EAEU Leaders in Yerevan for Conclave
Leaders of Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states are in Yerevan to attend today’s 29th Eurasian Intergovernmental Council session.
Bilateral meetings and an extended meeting are scheduled for November 19 at Yerevan’s Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex.
Particpants will discuss issues related to the development and strengthening of integration processes.
"Special attention will be paid to the internal market, the development of the agro-industrial complex, the supply of raw materials to metallurgical enterprises, as well as the supply of medicines and pharmaceuticals to the member states of the Union," the Russian government's press service said earlier.
The meeting takes place against the backdrop of military clashes along the Armenian-Azerbaijani line of contact.
The EAEU, formed in 2014, is comprised of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
