Armenian Soldier Arrested for Accidentally Killing Another

An Armenian soldier has been arrested in the death of another Armenian soldier, Suren Avetisyan, on November 24.

Armenia’s Investigative Committee reports that the arrested soldier improperly discharged his firearm, shooting Avetisyan in the head.

The incident occurred at an Armenian military outpost along the northeastern border with Azerbaijan.

An investigation into the matter continues.
