Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan, French President Emmanuel Macron and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met last night in Brussels following the Eastern Partnership summit.

“We will never abandon the Armenians,” Macron tweeted afterwards.  “We will always seek solutions for a lasting peace. I call for the holiday season to be one of humanitarian progress, one of conciliation.”

Pashinyan’s office reports that Macron initiated the meeting but provides no specifics on what the three discussed.
