Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, now serving as Secretary of the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers, and Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu today, by telephone, discussed the situation in Kazakhstan.

The two, according to a statement released by the Armenian Defense Ministry, discussed the activities of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces dispatched to Kazakhstan.

Armenia dispatched some one hundred servicemen to Kazakhstan as part of the CSTO force.
