Armenian President Armen Sarkissian and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev today, by phone, discussed the situation in Kazakhstan and steps being taken to restore constitutional order in the country.

Sarkissian, according to a statement released by his office, expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the recent clashes said he hoped peace and stability will be finally restored in Kazakhstan, facilitating prospects for a new future for the people.

He said that Armenia is ready to expand friendly relations with Kazakhstan.
