Armenian Deputy PM Mher Grigoryan met with his Russian counterpart Alexei Overchuk today in Yerevan and discussed trade and economic cooperation matters.

Oleg Belozyorov, Director General of Russian Railways OJSC, and Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin attended the meeting.

The parties, according to a statement released by Grigoryan’s office, stressed the important role of the South Caucasus Railway Company for the Armenian economy and discussed further cooperation prospects. (South Caucasus Railway is owned by the Russian state-owned Russian Railways.)

They also discussed restoring transport links in the South Caucasus.

Overchuk arrived in Armenia today on a working visit.
