Armenian Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan and U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Lynne Tracy met today in Yerevan and discussed legal sector matters.

Davtyan, according to a statement released by his office, thanked Tracy for U. S. technical assistance to strengthen Armenia’s efforts to protect human rights, to fight illegal enrichment and hyper-crime.

Attending the meeting were Alexis Haftwan, Director of the U.S. Embassy's Office of Drug Enforcement and Law Enforcement Cooperation, and Christina Hansel, the U.S. Embassy's Human Rights Officer.

Tracy said that the U.S. will continue its assistance to consolidate democratic institutions and to bolster human rights protection structures in Armenia, and to aid the Armenian government in its fight against corruption.
