The foreign ministers of Armenia and Lebanon exchanged statements today marking the thirtieth anniversary of diplomatic relations between their two countries.

Armenia FM Ararat Mirzoyan wrote that Armenia and Lebanon reaffirmed the centuries-old friendship of the two peoples with the launch of state cooperation. He stressed the unique and invaluable role of the Lebanese-Armenian community in strengthening relations between the two brotherly countries.

Lebanese FM Abdallah Bou Habib stressed that the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of Armenian-Lebanese diplomatic relations is marked by a strong determination to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation.

The Lebanese minister noted that the establishment of diplomatic relations with Armenia was a natural continuation of the historical friendship of the two peoples, where the Armenian community of Lebanon has a unique role as a full, key component of the Lebanese social structure.
