Armenian Foreign Minister to Attend Antalya Diplomatic Forum in Turkey

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will attend this week’s Antalya Diplomatic Forum in Turkey.

A statement published by Mirzoyan’s office today offers no additional specifics.

Turkey, in addition to Mirzoyan, also invited Ruben Rubinyan, Armenia’s special representative in normalization talks with Turkey.

In January, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported that it was considering the expediency to attend the forum.

According to the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidency, the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF) is a platform that facilitates debate on global and regional issues and brings together officials and non-state actors.

The Antyalya Diplomacy Forum’s website reports that foreign ministers from Bangladesh, Finland, Lebanon, Somalia, Mali, Uzbekistan, Bahrain, Suriname. Burundi, Kosovo, Romania, Slovenia, Sweden, North Macedonia, Azerbaijan and Afghanistan, among others, will attend.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and OSCE Secretary General Helga Maria Schmid are also listed as attendees.
