Acting Armenian President Alen Simonyan and Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergei Kopyrkin met today in Yerevan and discussed regional security issues.

The two. according to a statement released by Simonyan’s office, praised the level of Armenian-Russian allied relations.

They also exchanged views on regional cooperation and the development of inter-parliamentary relations.

The meeting focused on the importance of political dialogue and negotiations to resolve conflicts.

The statement did not specify what conflicts were referred to.
