Artsakh Foreign Ministry Denies Russian Peacekeepers Sent to Ukraine
Artsakh’s Foreign Ministry has refuted a March 13 Ukrainian General Staff Facebook post that Russian peacekeepers from Nagorno Karabakh have been sent to Ukraine.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine wrote:
"For the purpose of the urgent replenishment of the losses of the occupation troops of the Russian Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, part of the "peaceful" contingent from Nagorno Karabakh (Azerbaijan) to Ukraine. Also, according to the available information, a large number of militants from other countries are involved (Syria, Serbia)."
In the same post, the Ukrainian General Staff claimed:
"In the process of regrouping the enemy's troops, the preparation of additional units for fighting on the territory of Ukraine is carried out. Yes, according to the available information, during March 9-10, 800 soldiers of the 102nd military base (Gumri, Armenia) of the Southern military district were deployed to the Russian Federation for further transfer to the war zone."
