Artsakh Human Rights Defender Gegham Stepanyan, in a Twitter post today, called on the international community to take measures to stop continued Azerbaijani aggression against Armenians in Artsakh.

He charged various international organizations of following a ‘double standard’ when it comes to speaking out against humanitarian violations.

"Thousands of Armenians living in Artsakh are regularly subjected to terrorist and genocidal acts carried out by Azerbaijan every day,” Stepanyan declared, noting that Azerbaijan has prevented any repairs to a damaged section of pipeline supply natural gas to Artsakh.

“Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) is also part of Europe, which you, as Commissioner for HR of CoE, constantly ignore. Just be informed that Azerbaijan deliberately deprives people of gas & heating while it's 0-4° C. I can't understand your motives of indifference,” Stepanyan posted in a targeted message to CoE Human Rights Commissioner Dunja Mijatović.

Artsakh residents have gone without natural gas for a week now.
