Armenian, Dutch Foreign Ministries Hold Political Consultations
Political consultations between the Dutch and Armenian foreign ministries took place today in The Hague.
The Armenian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan and Dutch Director General for Political Affairs Thijs van der Plas represented the Netherlands.
The sides, according to a statement released by Hovhannisyan’s office, discussed the upcoming event marking of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and the Netherlands.
The two exchanged views on several issues on the international-regional agenda of mutual interest, touched upon cooperation and mutual support within the framework of international organizations, as well as the agenda of the Armenia-EU partnership.
They referred to the current situation around the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
In that context, the need for a full resumption of the peace process in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing was highlighted.
The Armenian delegation expressed its gratitude for the principled position of the Dutch Parliament during the 2020 Karabakh war.
