Armenia Condemns UN Participation in Shushi Event

Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs today condemned the involvement of the UN Office in Azerbaijan in events held in Shushi marking Azerbaijan’s thirtieth anniversary of joining the United Nations.

The ministry, in a Tweet today, said it invited UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia Lila Peters Yahya to express its outrage.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs demanded that the United Nations take steps to restore the UN's neutral position in the context of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” the statement reads.
