Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan today visited the town of Askeran along the eastern Line of Contact and held a consultation with regional officials regarding recent Azerbaijani incursions in the area.

Harutyunyan, according to a statement released by his office, said that steps are underway to stabilize the situation and effect a withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops.

Harutyunyan also visited the Khramort-Khnapat communities, discussed the situation with the residents, and gave a number of instructions on what to do.
