Catholicos of All Armenian Garegin II and International Alliance for the Protection of Heritage in Conflict Areas (ALIPH) Executive Director Valéry Freland met today at the Etchmiadzin Mother See and discussed the destruction and misappropriation of Armenian cultural heritage sites in territories under Azerbaijani control following the 2020 Karabakh war.

Freland briefed Catholicos Garegin II on the alliance's mission, stressing the importance of protecting historical and religious monuments.
