
Armenian Anti-Corruption Committee, U.S. FBI Sign Cooperation MoU
Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee (ACC)and the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) designed to ensure direct communication and the exchange of information between the two agencies.
The MoU was signed during a recent trip to Washington D.C. by Acting Deputy Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee Mushegh Babayan.
Babayan met with representatives of the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Department of State's Office of Drug Enforcement, Law Enforcement Cooperation, the World Anti-Corruption Coordination Office, and other agencies.
Babayan and U.S. officials discussed the methodology of investigating corruption cases, including money laundering and illicit enrichment.
The MoU also calls for ACC staffers to receive training from with U.S. counterparts.
