Armenian Minister of Education, Science, Culture, Sports Vahram Dumanyan today met today with the German Ambassador to Armenia Viktor Richter and discussed expanding the teaching of German in Armenian high schools.

Dumanyan, according to a statement released by his office, also proposed an exchange program of students, lecturers and young scientists and the implementation of joint culture and sports events.

Dumanyan mentioned the programs implemented with the support of the German Academic Exchange Center (DAAD) and Ambassador Richter noted that German scholarships to Armenia will be increased.

Ambassador Richter said Germany is ready to continue cooperating with Armenia in these areas.
