Armenian Foreign Minister, Greek Prime Minister Discuss Expanding Relations

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met today in Athens and discussed steps to expand relations between the two countries.

The sides, according to a statement released by Mirzoyan’s office, discussed the current level of trade and economic relations between Armenia and Greece and prospects to expand economic ties.

They also discussed cooperation within the framework of the Armenia-Greece-Cyprus trilateral format.

Mirzoyan and Mitsotakis exchanged views on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the process of normalization between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the unblocking of regional economic communication and transport infrastructure, and the work of the commissions on delimitation and border security.

Mirzoyan thanked Greece for its support during the 2020 Karabakh war.

Mirzoyan also briefed Mitsotakis on developments in the Armenia-Turkey normalization process.
