Pipeline Repairs Will Halt Natural Gas Supply in Artsakh

The Artsakh government reports that the supply of natural gas will be cut off for a week starting tomorrow to allow for repair work on a section of the pipeline.

On March 8, an explosion to a section of the pipeline passing through Azerbaijani controlled territory in Karabakh halted gas for ten days.

Azerbaijani officials prevented repairs to the pipeline until an agreement was reached, brokered by Russian peacekeepers, to fix the damaged section.

The natural gas supply to Karabakh was restored on March 19.

Many claim Azerbaijani authorities intentionally damaged the pipeline.
