Iran's Security Chief in Armenia for Talks
Armenian Security Council Secretary today, at Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport welcomed Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, to Armenia.
According to a statement released by Grigoryan’s office, the two security chiefs later discussed regional security based on the principle of territorial integrity, and economic prospects for Armenia’s southern Syunik province.
The two officials reiterated their governments’ readiness to continue working together on the Meghri Free Economic Zone and the North-South Road Corridor.
The parties agreed to hold their next meeting at the Armenia-Iran border.
Shamkhani is scheduled to meet with Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan.
