Armenian Police Log 1,067 Smoking Ban Violations
Armenia’s Police Department says it has logged 1,067 violations of the new smoking ban that came into effect on March 15, 2022.
The law bans smoking in all indoor and outdoor cafes, bars and restaurants in the country. The ban also prohibits the use of tobacco substitutes.
Police say government officials violating the ban face fines of 150,000-200,000 drams and others, 50,000 drams.
