Armenia Has No Territorial Demands of Neighbors, Says Parliamentary Speaker Simonyan
Armenian Parliamentary Speaker Alen Simonyan told visiting German Bundestag Vice President Katrin Göring-Eckardt that Armenia has no territorial demands from any of its neighbors.
Simonyan, according to a statement released by his office, made the remark during a discussion today of how Yerevan envisages establishing peace and security in the South Caucasus following the 2020 Artsakh war.
Simonyan said the Pashinyan government is committed to unblocking transportation routes in the region and is taking steps to demarcate Armenia’s border with Azerbaijan.
The two also discussed the desire to increase cooperation between their respective parliaments.
"Germany is the largest trade and economic partner of Armenia among EU countries. We also highly appreciate Germany's assistance to Armenia's democratic agenda," said Simonyan.
