300 Families in Armenia Get Business Micro-Grants
Three hundred families in Armenia have been selected to receive government grants of up to 1.6 million drams ($4,000) to start their own businesses.
The three hundred were chosen from seven hundred families in Armenia’s Ararat, Armavir, Kotayk, Shirak and Lori provinces who took business management training courses.
The program is implemented by the Association of Social Workers of Armenia, in partnership with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and is coordinated by the World Bank with funding from the Government of Japan (through the Japan Social Development Fund).
