Armenian, Egyptian Foreign Ministry Delegations Meet in Yerevan

Delegations representing the foreign ministries of Armenia and Egypt met in Yerevan today and discussed steps to expand relations between the two countries.

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Egyptian Deputy Foreign Minister for European Affairs Ihan Nasr emphasized their governments’ willingness to work together toward deepening of bilateral relations, noting that the historical and cultural ties of the two peoples serve as a strong basis for such relations.

The wo ministers, according to a statement released by Mirzoyan’s office, discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Mirzoyan referenced Armenia’s work to establish stability in the South Caucasus and the need to address humanitarian challenges facing Armenia and Artsakh following the 2020 Karabakh war.
