Garoyan has Forgiven Vardanyan: Criminal Case Quashed

On 15 April, 2012, at about 06:30 p.m., V. Vardanyan beat B. Garoyan near the entrance of Svatsyan 44 building by causing light damage to the health with short-term disorder.

On 16 April, 2012, a criminal case was initiated pursuant to the Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.

V. Vardanyan pleaded guilty and confessed that he had beaten B. Garoyan.

On the same day B. Garoyan was recognized a victim.

On 19 May, 2012, V. Vardanyan was accused pursuant to the Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia and he gave a signature not to leave the country.

On 21, 2012, the victim B. Garoyan applied to Malatia Investigation Division of the Police and said that he had forgiven V. Vardanyan asking not to call the latter to criminal liability.

Taking into consideration that B. Garoyan came to terms with the accused, it was decided to quash the criminal case and to stop the criminal persecution against him according to the Point 5 of the Part 1 of the Article 35 and Part 1 of the Article 183 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia.
