Armenia Appoints New Ambassador to Georgia

Ashot Smbatyan has been appointed Armenia’s new ambassador to Georgia, replacing Ruben Sadoyan who served at the post since 2017. 

Smbatyan had been serving as an adviser at Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A ministry statement doesn’t say why a new ambassador was appointed.
