Marking Emergency Workers Day, Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan promised to increase salaries for police and rescue service employees, arguing that such individuals perform an invaluable service when it comes to protecting life, limb and property.

Pashinyan, together with the President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Pambukhchyan and Chairman of the Investigative Committee Argishti Kyaramyan, participated a ceremony marking the holiday.

Pashinyan said the Ministry of Emergency Situations will be subsumed in the newly created Ministry of Internal Affairs.
