Armenia Calls on CSTO, U.N. to Stop Azerbaijani Attacks
The Armenian government has called on Russia to implement provisions of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance regarding today’s Azerbaijani aggression against the sovereign territory of Armenia.
A hastily convened session of Armenia’s Security Council also decided to petition the Russian-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the U.N Security Council regarding the attacks that Azerbaijan launched late tonight.
Azerbaijan launched the attacks, targeting Armenian military positions near Goris, Sotk and Jermuk, at midnight local time.
