Pashinyan, Blinken Discuss Azerbaijani Attacks

Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, by telephone today, discussed last night's Azerbaijani military attacks along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.

Pashinyan told Blinken that Armenia has petitioned Russia, the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the UN Security Council to take steps to halt this latest round of Azerbaijani aggression.

Pashinyan expressed hope for an adequate reaction of the international community.

Blinken said any further escalation of the situation is unacceptable and that the U.S. is ready to take steps aimed at stabilizing the situation.
