Armenian Foreign Minister, U.N. Genocide Prevention Special Adviser Discuss Azerbaijani Attacks
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.N. Special Adviser of the Secretary-General on the Prevention of Genocide Alice Wairimu Nderitu met yesterday in New York on the sidelines of the 77th session of the U.N. General Assembly and discussed last week’s Azerbaijani military attacks against Armenia.
Mirzoyan, according to his office, described the attacks as a gross violation of international and humanitarian law and called on the international community to properly address these crimes and take steps to strengthen existing preventative mechanisms.
The two exchanged ideas on the role of high technologies in the prevention of genocides and crimes against humanity.
