
Armenian Government to Provide Financial Aid to Surmalu Market Blast Injured
The Armenian government will reimburse some of the medical costs of those injured in the August 14 fire and explosion at Yerevan’s Surmalu Market.
Sixteen died and scores more were injured that day.
Those who spent less than three days in local hospitals will receive 150,000 AMD (US$359). Those who received more than three days of hospital care will get 300,000 AMD.
Families of those who died will receive three million AMD ($7,178).
