A proposal to establish a Ministry of Internal Affairs has been submitted to the government for review.

Under the proposal, the new ministry, if approved, will unite the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Police, and the Migration Service under one roof.

Deputy Minister of Justice Arpineh Sargsyan (photo), at a press conference today claimed the proposal has been “actively discussed during various public hearings.”
