Armenian Foreign Minister, Malta Order Grand Chancellor Meet at Vatican
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Grand Chancellor of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta Riccardo Paternò di Montecupo met today at the Vatican and discussed the Order’s humanitarian programs in Armenia.
They also discussed possible joint steps to preserve Armenian cultural monuments in Karabakh.
Mirzoyan, according to his office, emphasized the need for the immediate withdrawal of Azerbaijani armed forces from the sovereign Armenian territory and the observance of the ceasefire regime.
Mirzoyan briefed the Grand Chancellor of Armenia’s position regarding Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
Mizoyan touched down in Rome today on a two-day official visit to the Vatican.
