Drone Workshop for Youngsters Opens in Artsakh

An educational workshop designed to introduce school students to the technical aspects of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) opened on November 12 in the Artsakh town of Martakert.

The workshop is part of the curriculum of Armath Engineering Laboratories (AEL), an engineering education program created and managed by Armenia’s Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises.

In Armath Engineering Laboratories children aged 10-18 are introduced to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education through interactive after-school classes, exciting competitions, innovative camps and more.

In a Tweet, AEL writes: The youth of Artsakh will also have the opportunity to gain theoretical knowledge of drone operation, master their design and assembly, software development and maintenance.

Since 2014, Armath labs have been implemented in more than 635 schools and centers in Armenia, Georgia, Kuwait, France, USA, Bangladesh and India.
