Putin Upbeat on Armenia-Azerbaijan Peace Deal
Russian President Vladimir Putin, at today’s CSTO summit in Yerevan, said he hopes a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan is possible based on the agreements reached in Sochi last month.
Putin, according to TASS, said that his meeting with Armenian PM Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Aliyev in Sochi is a good basis for future compromises on fundamental issues.
He stressed that "only the consistent implementation of these agreements on border delimitation, unblocking transport communications and resolving humanitarian problems" will help normalize relations between the two countries.
