Armenian HRD, U.S. State Department Official Discuss Humanitarian Issues

Armenian Human Rights Defender Kristinne Grigoryan and U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Erika Olson met in Washington D.C. yesterday and discussed how the U.S. State Department is assisting Armenia to repatriate Armenian POWs held in Azerbaijan and to locate those who went missing during the 2020 Artsakh war.

Grigoryan, according to her office, thanked the U.S. State Department for its assistance and informed Olson about documented war crimes Azerbaijan committed when it attacked Armenia in September.

The two also discussed the humanitarian challenges faced by residents in the impacted communities.

Olson thanked Grigoryan for the information and the important work her office is doing.
