French Celebs Publish Open Letter Supporting Artsakh Armenians

More than 200 French celebrities, intellectuals, writers and artists, have published an open letter in the Figaro daily newspaper drawing attention to the closure of the Lachin Corridor and the danger of ethnic cleansing by Azerbaijan in Artsakh.

The open letter, in part, reads.

Now, when our children open their gifts, the parents of thirty thousand children of Nagorno Karabakh will only dream of one thing. that high in these mountains, where their ancestors were born two thousand years ago, their children should live, have a future, and not suffocate slowly. After the war that broke so many lives in 2020, phosphorous bombs, and tortures, the Azerbaijani tyranny this time invented a new ugly trick to close the Lachin Corridor, which is the only exit of Artsakh Armenians to the outside world. Families have been separated, shortages of necessities are increasing day by day, emergency medical care has become impossible, because of which one person has already died, and the lives of many patients, including children, are at risk.

The signatories call on people of conscience to unite their voices against the tragedy unfolding in Nagorno Karabakh.

“We can save 120,000 Armenians of Nagorno Karabakh,” the open letter concludes.
