Artsakh State Minister: Europe Should Recognize Artsakh’s Independence

Artsakh State Minister Ruben Vardanyan, in an interview with France 24, said Europe can pressure Baku to reopen the Lachin Corridor and should recognize Artsakh’s independence to resolve the Karabakh conflict once and for all.

“Azerbaijan is not able to provide normal living conditions not only for Armenians, but even for its own people. The current situation once again proves that it is not possible to live in Azerbaijan, where there is so much pressure and so many attacks on the civilian population,” Vardanyan said.

How Europe should recognize independence of Artsakh when Armenian government (and guarantor of its security) don't wage to do that?! reason for Artsakh being in its current situation is the cowardice of Armenian authorities (past and present) to speak up about the history of Artsakh. Have you ever asked yourself why Armenia never recognized Artsakh? Simply because the former leaders were puppets of Russia and did whatever Russia dictated (i.e., not recognizing Artsakh and continuation of the war so that Russia could sell weapons to both parties). And the current government under pseudo-Armenian, turkified Pashinoglu, who came to power with his empty slogan "Karabakh is Armenian, and period", repeats all non-senses of "WESTERN CIVILIZED WORLD" regarding Artsakh as “historical facts”. For example, “Nagorno-Karabakh is internationally recognized as part of Azerbaijan, and Armenia is obliged to recognize Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity”. Although they are well aware of the historical fact that Artsakh had never been part of Azerbaijan and it was gifted (along with Nakhichevan) to newly created state of Azerbaijan in 1921 by despot Stalin! The painful fact is that the so-called "WESTERN CIVILIZED WORLD" is even worse when it comes to Artsakh! reason for Artsakh's current situation is DOUBLE STANDARD of the so-called "WESTERN CIVILIZED WORLD"! The "RESPONSIBILITY to PROTECT" (aka "R2P", “humanitarian war” or “humanitarian intervention”) endorsed by them and executed by their military machine NATO works very selectively when it comes to their interests. For example the R2P of the Kosovo Muslims from "genocide committed by Orthodox Christian Serbs”. The fact is that Kosovo Muslims are the remnants of the barbarian invasion of Europe by Ottoman Turks, however, for the "WESTERN CIVILIZED WORLD" Kosovo was "occupied by Serbian Orthodox Christians”, and therefore, Kosovo Muslims just exercised their right of "self-determination"! Although the historical fact is that one of the oldest Serbian churches is located in Pristina! And when it comes to genocide and ethnic cleansing of Native Christian Armenians in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) by Azerbaijani Muslims and with the full support of Turkey (the only Muslim member of NATO) the same R2P doesn’t apply because Artsakh is a "disputed territory” and "internationally recognized as part of Azerbaijan"! However, the historical fact is that Artsakh was annexed by despot Stalin to newly created state of Azerbaijan in 1921. Artsakh was an integral part of the historic Armenian Kingdom (the tenth province of Armenia from 189 BC until 387 AD), and part of the Eastern Armenian Kingdom, both under the Persian and Arab rule as a part of the Armenian administrative unit. During the Russian-Persian war (1804-1813) the Russian Empire annexed Karabakh in 1805 which was de jure confirmed by the Gulistan treaty of 1813, and subsequently by the Turkmenchay treaty which concluded the Russo-Persian war (1826-28). On July 4, 1921, the Caucasian Bureau of the Communist Party of Russia convened a plenary session, in the result of which Nagorno-Karabakh, Nakhichevan, and Zangezur remained as a part of the Armenian SSR. However, on July 5th in an effort to placate the oil-producing Azerbaijan and Bolshevik Russia’s Kemalist allies in Turkey, the initial decision was reversed, by the decree of Joseph Stalin, Russia’s commissar for nationalities who placed Artsakh under the administration of Soviet Azerbaijan as an autonomous region. Therefore, annexation of Artsakh to the newly created Soviet Republic of Azerbaijan was a generous gift to them by despot Stalin. In this regard, the approach of the "western civilized world" (including the so-called "pro-Armenian" France) is so hypocritical. When it comes to anti-communism propaganda, then Stalin is called an "evil dictator" (which is very true), however, when it comes to the “territorial integrity of Azerbaijan”, the decree of the same "evil dictator" (i.e. donating Artsakh and Nakhichevan to Azerbaijan) becomes "international law"! What a disgusting hypocrisy, eh?
