The Artsakh Human Rights Defender (HRD) has sent letters to the Council of Europe Human Rights Commissioner, the Director General of UNICEF and other international human rights organizations, outlining the mounting humanitarian crisis and the violation of children’s right to education due to Azerbaijan’s ongoing blockade of the Lachin Corridor.

The HRD noted Azerbaijan’s deliberate disruption of Artsakh’s critical infrastructure as one of the causes of all the above.

The HRD urged international organizations to take specific steps, not mere exhortations, to protect the rights of Artsakh’s children.
