Artsakh Foreign Minister Urges Ambassadors to Relay Lachin Corridor Reality to Their Governments

Artsakh Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Ghazaryan has sent letters to ambassadors of several countries accredited to Armenia detailing the growing humanitarian crisis due to the closure of the Lachin Corridor.

Ghazaryan, according to his office, writes the closure is not Azerbaijan’s first attempt to depopulate Artsakh, but is the direct continuation of the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan in 2020.

Ghazaryan refutes Baku’s claim that the corridor remains open for traffic, noting that Artsakh residents cannot drive along the roadway.

"We urge your government to convey our call to take effective measures, including the use of sanctions or other instruments of influence aimed at unblocking Artsakh and preventing the criminal goals of Azerbaijan," the message says.

Ghazaryan urged the diplomats to convey the reality of what’s happening to their governments.
