Karabakh Mentioned in Draft Peace Treaty, Says Armenian Security Head
Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan told reporters today in Yerevan that Karabakh is mentioned in a draft peace treaty with Azerbaijan but didn’t elaborate on the context.
Girigoryan said the Armenian government is more interested in the establishment of an international mechanism to organize direct talks between Stepanakert and Baku, rather than having Karabakh mentioned in any final peace treaty.
"Armenia is in favor of holding discussions between Stepanakert and Baku on the security and rights of Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh within the framework of an internationally visible mechanism,” Grigoryan said.
