Yerevan police have arrested three men for robbing an Indian citizen at gunpoint in May 2022.

Posing as repairmen, they first visited the Yerevan apartment leased by the Indian citizen on the pretext of having to repair the gas boiler. One of the three then rifled through the victim’s belongings and stole $30,000 from a suit hanging in a closet.

Believing the victim had more cash, the three returned several days later and, brandishing air pistols, demanded more money. The masked assailants then stole an additional $45,000 from the victim, whom they tied up on a bed after he resisted.
