Armenian Prosecutor General Wants to Seize Property from Former Yerevan Official
Armenia’s Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) has filed a lawsuit with the country’s Anti-Corruption Court to seize 11 billion AMD (US$28M) worth of property belonging to former MP and former Yerevan Erebuni District Head (1999-2008) Mher Sedrakyan and three affiliated persons.
The PGO says Sedrakyan and the three others obtained the properties illegally.
In September 2020, Armenia’s Investigative Committee charged Sedrakyan with abuse of power, alleging that he, with the help of community council members, obtained land owned by the Erebuni District.
