Syrian President Bashar al-Assad today hosted Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in Damascus.

Mirzoyan flew to Syria today to personally deliver another shipment of Armenian humanitarian assistance to Syria following this month’s devastating earthquake.

The two, according to Mirzoyan’s office, discussed relations between their two countries as well as regional security matters.

Mirzoyan described the humanitarian crisis in Artsakh resulting from the ongoing Azerbaijani blockade of the Lachin Corridor and the process to normalize relations between Yerevan and Baku.
