Isfahan Armenians in Solidarity with Artsakh

Armenians gathered in the courtyard of the Holy Savior Armenian Apostolic Cathedral in the New Julfa neighborhood of Isfahan on February 24 to voice their solidarity with Armenians in Artsakh.

Isfahan Primate Bishop Kechejian told attendees that Azerbaijan seeks to cleanse Karabakh of its indigenous Armenian population and referred to the destruction of the Armenian cemetery in Julfa (Azerbaijan’s Nakhijevan enclave) as proof of Baku’s intentions.

“We testify that the authorities of Azerbaijan aimed to completely eliminate the Armenians from their own homeland with the threat of genocide. That they are not capable of establishing any peace based on justice and equality of peoples, that the Turkish-Azerbaijani alliance is ready to turn our region into a theater of conflict and wars between foreign and notorious imperialist powers because of its absurd and bigoted ambitions, that we should not be deceived by their false appeals of pacifism,” Kechejian said according to a statement released by his office.

Long live brave Armenians of Isfahan as they keep Armenian spirit alive. And Pashinyan should watch and learn from Armenians of Isfahan.
