Armenian, Czech Foreign Ministry Delegations Meet in Yerevan

Delegations headed by Armenian Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan and Czech Director General of European Affairs Jaroslav Kurfürst met in Yerevan today and discussed issues related to the Armenian-Czech bilateral agenda.

The delegations, according to Hovhannisyan’s office, focused on business cooperation and expanded Armenia-EU cooperation.

Hovhannisyan described the daily deteriorating humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh because of Azerbaijan blocking the Lachin Corridor, as well as Armenia's commitment and efforts to establish peace in the region.

Following the talks, Kurfürst was received by Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan.

Reference was made to the bilateral political dialogue between Armenia and the Czech Republic, as well as issues of the Armenia-EU partnership, including the deployment of the EU civilian monitoring mission in Armenia.
