Cuba’s newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia Oscar Santana Leon (residence: Astana) today handed a copy of his credentials to Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Cuban ambassador stated that he will do his best to promote the development of relations between the two countries.

 Hovhannisyan, according to his office,  described the worsening humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh due to Azerbaijan's blockade of the Lachin Corridor and explained Armenia’s position on normalizing relations between Yerevan and Baku.

International and regional issues were also addressed.
